I made this simple smoothie with some really tasty unsweetened almond milk from the CSM Farmers’ Market: http://www.yelp.com/biz/san-mateo-farmers-market-san-mateo-2 The guy that makes this almond milk sprouts the almonds for 36 hours (soak in water, rinse every 12 hours) for this super-smooth, creamy version.
- 16 oz unsweetened almond milk
- 4 large strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 TB chia seeds
- 1 handful of kale or spinach
Blend until smooth. Add some ice or opt for the frozen version of the fruit above for a thicker shake.
